People across the world have quite varied definitions of what they deem as fun. While some play football or cricket, some prefer surfing the waves or going scuba diving. But there are some people, who find it thrilling to explore narrow tunnels by crawling and occasionally getting stuck.

Now, a similar video has surfaced on the internet which shows a young man exploring a cave at least 165 years old. But that’s not it. It’s what he finally discovers that will leave you shocked. Heads up, if you are claustrophobic, you might want to give it a miss!

On Instagram, a page called Underground Birmingham is handled by a man, who according to his bio is an adventurist and a traveller. He dropped a video of himself sliding down a hole into a cave and exploring it. The clip opens to a view of his legs as he sits on loose rocks and sand and tries to slide inside. It is not a big opening, but he tries to push himself down the hole whose roof dangerously closes in on him.

The man finally succeeds and ends up in a huge cave. With his torch strapped to him, he checks out the interior. Inside he sees poured concrete and a brick wall. He informs that it is a “very, very old, coal mine.” The cave seemed to be descending the slope.

The caption read, “Sliding in a hole from the 1860s.” This means that the tunnel is about 165 years old. The clip has gained more than 50,000 views on Instagram. The post left a few “anxious”, but many wondered how he managed to get out. A user wrote, “Absolutely not, but thanks for showing us down there. How do you get back out? Another questioned, “What are you going to do if you get stuck one day?” A relatable comment read, “I don’t know how you guys do this. I get anxious just watching.”

What's your reaction?
