Amid rumours of his confirmed solo album in October, broadcaster Park Myung Soo’s remarks on his radio show added more spice. However, it seems like fans will have to wait a bit more. In response to the speculation surrounding G-Dragon’s solo comeback, his agency, Galaxy Corporation, has stepped in to set the record straight.
On September 12, the agency issued a statement to the South Korean media, as reported by Ilgan Sports, saying that discussions are still underway regarding the timings of his return and that an October release is not currently on the cards. “G-Dragon’s comeback date has not been confirmed yet. It is still under discussion, and we will announce it once the schedule is set,” Galaxy Corporation told the media, as quoted by KpopStarz.

The statement came on the heels of a recent report that claimed the artist will release a digital single in October and will appear on the talk show You Quiz on the Block. This is not the first time that rumours of G-Dragon’s comeback have made the rounds. In August, Park Myung Soo stirred excitement by teasing, “I heard G-Dragon is coming back in the month after next.” Given his close relationship with the BIGBANG star, many fans saw this as a big hint.
Later, Galaxy Corporation issued a clarification saying, “There is no specific timing set for G-Dragon’s comeback yet. Discussions are still ongoing.” The agency added that there will be a new album release before the year-end. At the same time, Park Myung Soo also clarified his remarks, admitting that he sometimes misspeaks and has no concrete information.
