New Delhi: Injecting virtual reality into everyday life, LG in partnership with Google announced a free virtual reality (VR) headset giveaway for its G3 smartphone buyers. The headset works with Google Cardboard and enables users to experience a variety of compatible apps and games available on the Google Play store.
Contrary to other head-mounted virtual reality devices which have their own processors and displays, the one from LG leverages the audio and visual capabilities of the G3 to provide users with sharper image quality and more realistic experiences.
Furthermore, the VR for G3 can be combined with a Bluetooth headset for wireless use. It requires no assembly other than inserting the phone in the viewer.
The VR for G3 will be rolled out this month in select markets.
