Kolkata: Re-poll in two West Bengal booths was peaceful with 76.66 per cent turn out at Asoknagar in North 24-Parganas district and 61.52 per cent at Beliaghata in the metropolis, an election official said on Friday.

The Election Commission on Thursday ordered re-poll in the two booths after the third phase poll in the state.

Re-poll was held on Friday in booth number 67 in Asoknagar assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas and booth no 17-A in Beliaghata in Kolkata, West Bengal CEO Sunil Kumar Gupta said in Kolkata.

While EVM was not placed properly at the booth in Asoknagar, discrepancy was found in the number of voters in the electoral roll and their number in the EVM at the booth in Beliaghata, he added.
