NMC Issues Notice For Colleges to Fill Student Details of PG Courses by December 7
Several new candidates have now joined various medical colleges in the country. The colleges must provide the details of the students admitted to PG courses

The National Medical Commission (NMC) issued a notification for medical colleges in the country on December 2. They announced that all colleges are required to fill in all the admission-related information of students in post-graduate courses on an online portal. As per the notification, the special stray round to fill up the vacant seats of postgraduate courses has been completed. Several new candidates have now joined various medical colleges in the country. The colleges must now provide the details of the students who have been admitted to PG broad speciality courses. The institutions will be required to fill in these details from December 4 to December 7, 2023.

The public notice issued by the National Medical Commission prescribed, “After completion of the special stray round conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), DGHS and State Counselling Agencies for filling up the vacant seats of PG Broad Specialty courses, new candidates have been admitted in various medical colleges throughout India.” It further reads, “Subsequently, all Medical Colleges/Institutes in India are hereby informed that the online portal for filling up the details of candidates who took admission in PG Broad Specialty courses shall be reopened from 4th to 7th December 2023.”

Before this notification was released, the NMC had made another request to submit the student records on October 28. Those records were for PG medical first-year courses for the 2023-2024 academic year.

What is the required candidate data to be entered?

Colleges will be required to log in through a provided link on the official website. The designated authorities can log in using a username and password. The data they are required to enter on the portal include the following –

1. The full name of the student must be provided along with their registration number.

2. The next important detail required is the course name.

3. Colleges will also be required to provide the date of admission of all the students.

4. The category of the student must also be mentioned.

5. NEET PG percentile, AIR and State rank must also be submitted on the portal.

6. Colleges must also enter the sanctioned intake capacity.

7. The amount of the allocated stipend must also be provided.

8. The name of the PG teacher under whom the student is admitted should also be submitted.

Note that the notification has prescribed all these details to be provided within the stipulated time. No data, physical or manual, will be accepted whatsoever under any circumstances.
