Actor Vijay Sethupathi, popularly known as the Makkal Selvan of Tamil Cinema, is winning the hearts of the Indian audience after taking a selfie with an elderly woman in a wheelchair at a polling booth in Chennai. Along with other voters, the actor too cast his vote during the first phase of the Lok Sabha Elections in Tamil Nadu. He visited the polling booth with his wife. He snapped selfies with his fans during his exit from the polling booth. A video is now going viral in which the actor was amazed to see an elderly woman in a wheelchair who came to cast her vote.

Not so flashy as expected of superstars, the actor visited the polling booth in brown plants and a blue shirt. He was seen standing in the line to cast his vote. As he waited, the actor chatted with his fellow voters. Following the voting process, Vijay Sethupathi posed for the cameras. He showed off his inked finger while smiling for the snaps.

Vijay Sethupathi has become popular among the Hindi-speaking audience with the web series Farzi and Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan. The superstar was last seen in Merry Christmas. It was directed by Sriram Raghavan and starred Vijay Sethupathi and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. He will be next seen in the sequel of Viduthalai, directed by Vetrimaaran.
The actor was reportedly offered the role of Vibhishan in Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana but he rejected the proposal after citing the decision to refrain from negative roles in films.
