Woman Says Her Boyfriend Was Groped in Delhi Metro, Redditors Feel 'It's Worse For Men'
A Reddit user shared how her boyfriend was groped in Delhi Metro while no one paid attention.

A Reddit user took to the social media platform and shared how her boyfriend was harassed in the Delhi metro. Going by an anonymous name, the woman shared that a middle aged person put his hand on her boyfriend’s thigh. At first, he thought that this might be accidental and did not give it much thought. However, then the man proceeded towards his crotch and asked him a creepy question that had him completely stunned. He asked, “Mai aapki koi madad Kar sakta hu kya?”

She explained that at first, her boyfriend dismissed it by saying “Mai tujhe uthake fek dunga” but he was not satisfied because it is not the first time that such a thing happened to him. “So he asked me what he should do on call,” she wrote.

She further explained, “I suggested him to take that guy to the police, stand up for himself. He did the same. That uncle slept off so near the next stop, my bf woke him up saying come let’s get out at this station. When he resisted, my bf slapped him a few times and told everyone what that guy did to him. Since he was resisting to go out, the most my bf could do was take his ID and picture and leave him with a warning.”

The Reddit post has caused quite a stir on the platform. Many can be seen debating about how it would be different if it was a woman. “All this while no one except a young guy bothered to even know what was happening. I bet if it was me, as a girl, at least the crowd would have responded better. It’s so much worse for guys out there. I hate it,” the anonymous user wrote.

“At least your bf stood up for himself,I remember once I just froze for a second and moved my position,” wrote a Reddit user. Also, many such people shared how they have had similar experiences. “I had a similar experience during my college days. I used the local train to commute daily to college. A middle aged man started touching me inappropriately, at first I thought it must be by mistake since the train is crowded. He repeated this twice more, then I realised what’s really happening there. I caught his hand and tried to twist his fingers and slapped him. But the crowd in Mumbai is better than other places, people asked what happened and when I narrated the story Everyone from the crowd claimed a piece of him, hitting and slapping him. I never saw that guy again on the train,” wrote another anonymous user.
