Varsity revises academic calendar

BANGALORE: Bangalore University, in a notification, revised the calendar of events for II/IV/VI/VII Semesters of BA/B Sc/B Com/BBM/ BHM/BVA/B Sc(FAD)/BCA courses for the academic year 2011-2012 and odd semester 2012-2013. Practical Examinations Commencement: April 16 Theory Exams Commencement: May 14 Closing of Theory Examinations: June 12 Last Date for Payment of Exam Fee: March 8 without fine Reopening of colleges, date of reporting of teachers and commencement of admission and classes: July 16 Writing Study MaterialsApplications have been invited from Bangalore University teachers for writing study materials for BA/B Com/BBM/MA/M Sc (Mathematics)/ Postgraduate Diploma/ Certificate Courses as per university syllabus.The honorarium paid will be as per the Distance Education Council norms.Interested persons may apply on a plain paper giving details of name,address, age, educational qualification, experience,books written/ published.The applications can be sent to Director, Directorate of Correspondence Courses and Distance Education, Central College Campus, Dr Ambedkar Veedhi, Bangalore -560001 on or before February 25.Project Fellow WantedApplications are invited for Project Fellow under the DST- Major Research Project, sponsored research project for a period of three years with a fellowship of `12,000 per month+30% HRA+ `100 MA for 1st two years and 14,000 Per month +30% HRA and `100 MA for the third year.Minimum eligibility is MSc Chemistry with not less than 55 per cent marks.NET (CSIR/UGC) and GATE candidates are only preferred.The applications must be on plain paper with complete Bio Data along with the photocopies of the candidates marks card, academic certificates, contact number and email id.Please send the applications to Professor L Gomathi Devi, Principal Investigator, Department of Chemistry, Bangalore University, Central College Campus on or before February 28.
