Neymar tips Brazil to win gold in London
Brazil's star player feels that his country are one of the strong contenders for the gold medal in London.

Rio de Janeiro: Neymar is no more a star for his country, Brazil and club - he is more than that considering his popularity and achievement at the age of 20. But going into the London Olympics, the Santos player will be expected to fire and help Brazil to win an Olympic gold and then the 2014 World Cup.

After being named in the 18-man Brazil squad, Neymar told the Fifa.com website about his goal and expectation at the Games in London.

When asked about Brazil's chances of winning gold, Neymar said: "We’ve got everything we need to be champions. I think Brazil are always one of the favourites, no matter what the competition. It’s always been that way. We’ve got a very good side too, and players with a lot of potential."

But he played down the fact that he would be the lone key player for Brazil in London. "I think they’re all key players and they all have a job to do. Everyone’s important. The 18 players who were picked represent everyone who’s taken part up to here and we need to stick together and be strong," Neymar said.

Praising the recently concluded Euro 2012, where Spain emerged as the champion he said: "The technical standard was very high, just as high as the World Cup. All that was missing were teams like Brazil and Argentina. The Spanish are going to finish with the game at this rate. They really are the best side."

However, the Brazilian youngster indicated of a possible move to Europe as he feels it's a different kind of football being played there compared to Brazil.

"It’s a bit different because of the type of game they play in Europe. It is different, but you can adapt to it and come away with things so that you can put it into practice here too."

Neymar considers Andres Iniesta, Cristiano Ronaldo and Germany's Mesut Ozil as sensational players around.

"I really like Iniesta. I think he’s a sensational player. Cristiano Ronaldo is really good as well, and I enjoy watching [Mesut] Ozil of Germany a lot too. He’s a great player and I’ve always been a big fan of his."
