KOCHI: The Njarakkal police arrested 10 persons in the last two days in connection with sex abuse case in which a minor girl was assaulted by several persons in Nairambalam in 2008.The arrested were identified as Sivadasan (31) a mill owner, Santhosh (38)and Shine(45) taxi drivers, Rimi Jose (41) and Sandav(49) flour mill owners, Mohanan(54) textile shop owner, Ramesh(48) a labourer, Nawaz (22), a textile businessman, Rinshad(22), a worker in a textile shop and Raneesh(19), a labourer. The arrested were presented before Fort Kochi First Class Magistrate and remanded to Judicial custody. Earlier the police had arrested six people in this case, including the father of the girl, her uncle and lover. The police officials said that more arrests are due.
