Former India captain MS Dhoni was recently spotted boarding an IndiGo flight along with his family. Accompanied by his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva, Dhoni was captured walking down the aisle. The 43-year-old sported a casual, brown T-shirt which he paired up with black trousers. He was carrying a backpack and had a water bottle in one hand. The moment was captured by one of his fellow passengers, who later shared the footage on Instagram with the caption– “Permanent Mahi Moment.”
Upon entering the cabin, Dhoni smilingly waved at the other passengers. In a more heartwarming act, the Chennai Super Kings legend stopped at the entrance to shake hands with a few fans. Dhoni also had a brief interaction with them before moving forward to take his seat. The video also featured the iconic phrase– “Thala for a reason.”
Like any other Dhoni-related content, the Instagram post hardly took any time to become viral. Many die-hard “Thala” fans dropped their reactions in the comment section. The video has accumulated more than 44 lakh views since being shared on the Meta platform.
A viewer thinks the passengers “got goosebumps” when MS Dhoni showed up on the flight. One fan was quick to notice that Dhoni had no security personnel with him. “What a normal man, no security needed,” commented the person. “Can any of the co-passengers please tell me what good karmas they did to be on the same flight with MSD?” asked a fan.
The video was supposedly captured before Dhoni changed his iconic long-hair look. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim recently unveiled the new look of Dhoni via a social media post. The five-time IPL winner has now opted for a classy side-faded hairstyle. Hakim shared a few pictures where Dhoni was seen posing in a pair of sunglasses.
Speculations have been rife about Dhoni’s participation in the upcoming IPL edition. After leading CSK to five triumphs, Dhoni stepped down as the captain ahead of the last season. Ruturaj Gaikwas took over the charge but failed to qualify for the playoffs. The Chennai-based franchise has yet to confirm its retention list ahead of the mega auction. It is expected to be done once Dhoni takes the final call on his availability.
