New Delhi: As the Sensex flirts with 9400, stock players make a new investment in spirituality.

They say you can trade your soul at the stock exchange. But Mumbai's Bombay Stock Exchange recently saw its members reaping their spiritual dividends after the closing bell.

At the BSE, a four-day yoga and meditation session led by spiritual guru Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, saw its players thumbing their nose at shares and brokering their deal with inner peace, in absolute silence.

"It has enabled me to get a better perspective about others and it has also helped me to sail through life in society much more smoothly than it would have been," said Jagdish Capoor, Chairman, HDFC bank

Echoing the same view, Parag Parikh, MD, PP Financial Services said, "After attending this class I have learnt that there are very simple things to change. It's just having a paradigm shift, the way we look at the world".

"If market falls I'm part of it, if market grows, I'm part of it both sides of the coin," added Siddharth Shah, Member, Governing Board, BSE.

After such revelations, happiness must find its voice. Clearly, these moves give enough satisfaction to rival a Sensex closing high.

"One gets to function at optimum level. We have noticed this at the corporate sector that one's level of efficiency grows dramatically simply because he is happy," said Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, Spiritual Guru.

It may seem quite New Agey, as is evident here, people are investing in this index hugging formula given its holistic dividends.

What's your reaction?
