CSK enthusiasts have been at it, ribbing their new rivals, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), non-stop since last night’s IPL match where RCB bowed out to the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the eliminator showdown in Ahmedabad. From relentless trolling to crafting memes, the Dhoni devotees, faithful to the Chennai Super Kings cause, have been unstoppable online. Yet, one die-hard fan took it up a notch by shedding light on the perceived hypocrisy within the RCB fanbase.
Taking to ‘X’, user @HustlerCSK kicked off with a video that left an RCB fan at a loss for words, as a CSK supporter playfully highlighted their team’s achievements compared to RCB’s lack thereof.
Got cooked for using Twitter Jokes in real life, But Saar, RCB saarpic.twitter.com/VazQeGI4Zb— Hustler (@HustlerCSK) May 23, 2024
Then came another clip showing a man donning the RCB jersey, poking fun at Indian skipper Rohit Sharma during a match.
The thread also included a tweet from an RCB supporter claiming they never resort to abuse over a game, which was swiftly countered by the reminder of the online backlash faced by Dan Christian and his wife in 2021 after RCB’s IPL exit.

The thread delved into Yuzvendra Chahal’s grievances about RCB fans criticizing him for seeking more money after being overlooked in the IPL auctions.

Adding insult to injury, the CSK loyal even joked about how their team’s bus driver, Dhandapani Thatha, has laid hands on the IPL trophy, unlike RCB.
At Last, just want to add.CSK's team bus driver Dhandapani Thatha also has touched IPL title but then there is a team, bottling home IPL for 17 Years!

And the banter kept flowing…

Just goes on to show that cricket transcends mere sport, thanks to the fans who elevate it to something more. But it prompts us to ponder: should the passion for the game lead us to such depths
