The TRS leader and MP demanded apology for arresting her for making inflammatory speech.

Hyderabad : Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) leader and MP Vijayashanti has demanded an apology from Andhra Pradesh government for arresting her for making inflammatory speech.

The TRS leader also wants the police officers who arrested her to be suspended. The leader said she will raise the issue in Parliament and also bring it to the notice of the Prime Minister.

Vijayashanti had allegedly asked the Telangana supporters to chop down those opposing separate statehood. The Election Commission had served notice on her for the controversial remarks.

Vijayashanti was released from jail on bail on Saturday evening, a few hours after she was arrested for making inflammatory remarks ahead of the July 27 by-elections in Telangana and sent to judicial custody.
