Patna: The kingmaker of Bihar, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Friday met party leaders in Patna to elect the leader of its 80 MLA strong unit in the state Assembly.
Lalu's sons Tejaswi and Tej Pratap Yadav who were elected MLAs in the elections also attended the meeting. Sources suggest Lalu has already prepared a list of RJD ministers to take oath with Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on November 20.
All the party leaders will meet at Rabri Devi's residence on Saturday to discuss the matter.
Around 35 to 38 ministers are likely to take oath. Meanwhile, the JDU, RJD and the Congress will jointly hold a legislature party meeting on November 14 and elect Nitish Kumar as their leader before sending recommendations to dissolve the state Assembly.
The Grand Alliance routed the BJP in assembly elections, the results of which were announced on Sunday. The RJD emerged as the single largest party with 80 assembly seats, followed by the JD-U with 71 and the Congress with 27 seats. There will be 16 ministers from Lalu Prasad's RJD, 15 from the JDU and five from the Congress.
