Watch: BTS ARMY Celebrate Jimin's Birthday With Special Video On Times Square
ARMY displayed birthday greetings for Jimin and featured his various projects on a Times Square digital billboard in New York.

BTS singer Park Jimin holds a cherished place in the hearts of K-pop enthusiasts. Today, as the singer celebrates his 28th birthday, an outpouring of well-wishes and adoration is reaching him from all corners of the globe. Jimin has garnered a multitude of nicknames from fans, including Mochi, Ddochi, Dooly, ChimChim, and Diminie. To make his special day even more remarkable, ARMYs have gone the extra mile, by displaying birthday greetings and featuring his clips on one of New York’s largest billboards in Times Square.

The 15-second clip displays moments from Jimin’s concerts and music videos that conclude with a heartfelt message, “Happy Jimin Day,” followed by “With Jimin till the end.” A fan page named JIMIN Moon Rising on the X platform shared videos from the location and wrote, “Check out the clips of our Jimin’s birthday project on the Times Square TSX Screen in New York.”

As the clock struck twelve, Jimin’s fans wasted no time in showering their beloved idol with heartfelt wishes. This overwhelming response led to breaking a record, as around 26 keywords related to Jimin’s birthday were trending on Twitter’s Worldwide Trending section. A fan page proudly shared the news and wrote, “Jimin sets another Worldwide Record as the FIRST and ONLY person to have 26 related keywords and hashtags occupying X’s Worldwide Trends simultaneously for the FOURTH YEAR in a row.”

From letters to numerous edits, social media platforms have been flooded with birthday posts dedicated to Jimin. On the other hand, fans from all around the world have come together to organise various events, including posters, food donations, advertisements, balloon statues and more, all with the aim of celebrating the idol’s birthday on a large scale.

BigHit Music, the agency representing BTS, joined in the celebration by sharing a series of previously unreleased photos from the past year. Meanwhile, Jimin himself enjoyed a successful year, starting with his collaboration with Kodak Black, NLE Choppa, JVKE and Muni Long for on the Fast and Furious 10 track Angel Part 1. In March, he released his debut solo album, FACE, and was actively seen promoting in Korea and the United States.

Jimin’s upcoming solo documentary, titled Jimin’s Production Diary, has generated a lot of excitement among fans. This documentary is set to be available on Weverse from October 23, 2023, unlike other members’ documentaries that were released on Disney Plus. Fans are looking forward to gaining a deeper insight into Jimin’s journey and experiences.
