New Delhi: Law Minister Salman Khurshid on Friday night described as "internal affair" of Team Anna the sharp differences in it and declined to comment on the possibility of any break-up in the civil society led by the Gandhian.
"It is their internal affair, It is between them (Team Anna). Why should we involve ourselves in it? It is not fair to comment," Khurshid said on the sidelines of a tourism award function.
The Law Minister was asked to comment on the differences and desertions in the Team Anna's Core Committee members and the divergent views expressed by them recently.
On whether any break-up in Hazare's Core Committee will boost UPA's image or will give energy to it, Khurshid said "no one gets any energy from any breakup".
"No one gets any energy from any breakup. It is the civil society and they have their own way of operating. It is the government which has its own way of operating," he said.
Meanwhile, Tourism Minister Subodh Kant Sahay targeted Team Anna members Prashant Bhushan, Kiran Bedi and Arvind Kejriwal, in the thick of controversies, without naming them and said "within four days, the rule of the four people has withered away. One does not run a country like this. It is run by the rule of law and there is a system for it."
On the need for a strong anti-corruption law, he said "we also want to fight corruption and we want the fight against corruption in our agenda. But you cannot do it by putting a gun on somebody's head."
