Ready to face CBI over 2G issue: Shourie
However, he declined to comment on the reported remarks of the CBI that there were no evidence against Dayanidhi Maran.

Udhagamandalam: Former telecom minister in the NDA government Arun Shourie on Monday said he was prepared to face any probe in the 2G spectrum issue. Replying to a question on the statement of the CBI that he would be questioned in view of preparation of a third charge sheet in the 2G spectrum scam, Shourie said he was willing to answer any questions by the investigating agency.

Shourie was in Udhagamandalam on his way to the Defence Service Staff College in nearby Wellington.

However, he declined to comment on the reported remarks of the CBI that there were no evidence against former IT minister Dayanidhi Maran with regard to coercion in the 2G allocation issue.

Shourie also evaded questions on former telecom minister A Raja dragging Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and then Finance Minister P Chidambaram on the issue.

"Had Raja not done any wrong in the 2G spectrum allocation and followed the rules of TRAI in the procedure, why would he be behind bars now?" he asked.

What's your reaction?
