11. Lahar is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Bhind (SC) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Lahar falls in Bhind district and Chambal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.

There are a total of 2,44,103 voters in the seat, which includes 1,34,806 male voters, and 1,09,292 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Lahar recorded a voter turnout of 63.23%. In 2013 the turnout was 65.34%, and in 2008 it was 62.12%.

In 2013, Dr Govind Singh of INC won the seat by a margin of 6,273 votes (4.33%). Dr Govind Singh secured 36.6% of the total votes polled.

INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 4,878 votes (3.86%), registering 45.69% of the total votes polled.

In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Lahar Assembly segment of the Bhind (SC) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
