New Delhi: Former external affairs minister Jaswant Singh, who was expelled from BJP for writing a book praising Pakistan-founder M A Jinnah, on Monday took a jibe at his former party for ousting him, saying these days it is extremely hazardous to author a book.
Speaking at the launch of former Manipur Governor Ved Marwah's book- India in Turmoil - Singh said, "I must caution him (Marwah). It is extremely hazardous to write a book these days."
"I am sure he (Marwah) has examined all the perils of writing a book," he added, inviting laughter from the gathering consisting of former policemen, bureaucrats and other important dignitaries.
Singh, who was summarily expelled from the BJP at the party's Chintan Baithak (brainstorming session) in Shimla in August for praising Jinnah in his book - Jinnah- India, Partition, Independence, was not content with these comments and added some more sarcasm towards the end of his speech.
