Former Congress MLA Mewaram Jain is under fire after two videos have gone viral on social media purportedly showing the former Rajasthan MLA behaving inappropriately with a woman.
The videos emerged days after a rape case was filed by a woman against the former Congress MLA.
The videos, shared by BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla, are reportedly linked to the same case. However, News18 cannot verify the authenticity of the videos linked to the former MLA.
“This man Mewaram is the Jeffery Epstein of Congress. Congress is a party of sleaze bags & sexual predators. From Bhanwari Devi to Mewaram. From their IYC chief to tandoor kaand. From Shanti Dhariwal to Nitish Kumar statements which were defended by INC,” Poonawalla said in a post of Twitter.

Poonawalla also questioned Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi and Supriya Shrinate whether they would visit the victims and raise their voices in the matter.
The incident has sparked an uproar on social media and the videos are now viral.
The woman had filed a rape case against Mewaram Jain and eight others. The videos have reportedly been mentioned in the FIR filed against the former Congress MLA.
The victim also mentioned in the complaint that Mewaram raped her and sexually assaulted her in front of her minor daughter.
Former MLA Mewaram Jain was also a minister in the previous Congress government in Rajasthan. Jain was considered a prominent leader of the Congress party in the state.
