Sushmita Sen is one of the most talented actresses in the country. She has impressed the audience with her acting prowess and powerful screen presence for years. Sushmita Sen has two daughters, Renee and Alisah. It looks like her older daughter, Renee, is gearing up to follow in her mother’s footsteps.
Speaking to Instant Bollywood recently, Sushmita Sen said, “Renee wants to be an actor. And she will be a very good actor. Taiyaari chaalu hai.” Renee made her acting debut in the 2021 short film called Suttabaazi. She also lent her voice to the Mahamrityunjai mantra in Sushmita’s web series Taali.
In 2021, Renee told Vogue India, “I am going to make my own shoes and fill them. I am not my mother’s clone, so I don’t want to be another her. We are all individuals, and she always encourages us to be our own person—have our own opinions and share our opinions respectfully without hurting anyone’s sentiments.”
Earlier last year, Renee uploaded a cover of Adele’s hit song Set Fire To The Rain, which garnered praises from fans and well-wishers across the internet. She also received a shoutout from her mother. Renee thanked her mother for being the biggest strength and encouragement she needed.
Earlier in an interview with NDTV, Renee opened up about her mom and said, “My mom is really relaxed. She values discipline but we–Alisah and I–have our own space. She gives us that. She doesn’t pressurise us in any way. She is really motivating. I am so happy I can talk to her. Our relationship has changed now that we are in the same field.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Sushmita Sen will soon be seen in the final chapter of her popular series Aarya. Aarya – Antim Vaar is scheduled to premiere on February 9, 2024, on Disney+Hotstar.
