Rashami Desai Slams Ranveer Singh-Johnny Sins Ad, Calls It 'Humiliating': 'Felt Like a Slap'
Ranveer Singh had teamed up with Johnny Sins for an epic ad on sexual awareness. However, Rashami Desai was not impressed.

Television star Rashami Desai slammed Ranveer Singh and Johnny Sins’ ad. On Monday, the duo surprised everyone by dropping an ad on erectile dysfunction. The video was shot in a television serial style, mocking the over-the-top television shows that often go viral on social media. Having worked in the TV industry for years now, Rashami said that the ad was ‘humiliating’ and ‘felt like a slap’ in the face.

Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared the ad and said, “I’ve started my work from a regional film industry. And then started working in television industry. People call it a small screen. Where normal people watch news, cricket, all the Bollywood films also and much more. After watching this reel, which is highly unexpected, I felt it’s a humiliation to all the TV industry and people who work in television.”

“Coz we always made feel smaller and treated like one. Actors really wanna work on big screen too, this is exactly how we get treated. Everyone is working hard. Bit I’m sorry, TV show pe sab nahi dikhate. This all happens on big screen. And nothing wrong in showing some reality but this is really check for all the TV industry coz I feel it’s a slap. May be I’m over reacting but we show culture and love to our audience. And I’m hurt coz I have a respectful journey in TV industry. Hope you’ll will understand the emotion,” Rashami said.

The new ad was released as part of a campaign, #TakeBoldCareOfHer. Ranveer, who is the brand ambassador of Bold Care, doubled up as Johnny’s brother-in-law in an Indian television drama style to talk about sex problems. Speaking about it in a statement to the press, Ranveer said, “I’m here with sincere intent to use my influence for raising awareness and making a positive impact. The Bold Care campaign is more than talk; it’s a mission that I am deeply connected to, and I am here to bring a change in how we address men’s sexual health, aiming for tangible solutions and millions of lives impacted all across the country.”
