Arundhati Reddy’s Furious Send-off Leaves Nida Dar Gutted After Top-scoring for Pakistan| WATCH

Team India bowler Arundhati Reddy was feeling it during the side’s group stage game against Pakistan on Sunday as she gave Pakistani batter Nida Dar a fiery send-off after dismissing her from the crease.

Reddy removed Dar as she castled the Pakistani batter for 28 runs off 34 deliveries at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday in the marquee fixture between two of cricket’s greatest rivals.

Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first against India, who struck early through Renuka Thakur to draw first blood. The Indian speedster castled Pakistan opener Gull Feroza in the very first over of the game to send her back to the hut for a duck.

Deepti Sharma dismissed Sidra Ameen for 8 runs, before Reddy jumped into action with her first wicket of the day.

Reddy sent Omaima Sohail back to the dugout for just 3 runs as Shafali Verma held onto the catching opportunity offered up by the Pakistani.

Shreyanka Patil got rid of Muneeba Ali for 17 runs, before Reddy bagged her second scalp of the day with the wicket of Aliya Riaz.

Fatima Sana was scalped by Asha Sobhana and Tuba Hassen fell to Patil, for the spinner’s second wicket of the day.

Dar, who top-scored for the neighbours on the day, became Reddy’s third victim in the game as she went for a heavy and missed the ball completely as the leather struck timber. Following the dismissal Reddy gestured the Pakistani batter to take her seat in the dugout in a rather aggressive manner.

Syeda Aroob Shah and Nashra Sandhu remained unbeaten at the crease at 14 and 6 runs respectively as Pakistan huffed-and-puffed their way to 105 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20-over quota.
