Puli actor Vijay's house raided by Income Tax officials

Chennai: The Income Tax department officials are carrying out raids at Tamil star Vijay's residence and office. The surprise searches come a day ahead of the release of Vijay's big budget film - 'Puli'.

Raids are also being carried out at the residence and offices of the producers and director of 'Puli'. Raids began at 7 o’ clock in the morning and are spread out in 35 locations across South India - including Chennai, Madurai, Kochi and Hyderabad. Officials cite unexplained investments in the film 'Puli' as the reason behind the raid.

Also under the scanner of the IT Department are actresses Nayanthara and Samantha.
