Once one of Hindi television’s most beloved couples, both on and off the screen, Krystle D’Souza and Karan Tacker captured many hearts with their undeniable chemistry, charm, and their bond as close friends. Even as rumors swirled that they were in a romantic relationship and possibly planning to take things to the next level, the Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai actors chose to stay silent. Eventually, the buzz faded, and the duo stopped appearing together, leaving many wondering what had transpired.
Recently, Krystle addressed the long-standing speculation about whether they were ever romantically involved, and she explained why they are no longer in touch. Speaking with Siddharth Kannan, she shared that she was unsure how to define their connection, as they never put a label on it. “I honestly don’t know. Yes, we did share a relationship of being co-stars and best friends. We were two people dependent on each other for so many things. But was it a relationship in the way the world defines it? I don’t know. So, yes and no,” she admitted.
Despite the ambiguity, Krystle spoke highly of Karan, calling him an “amazing human being.” She noted that he will always remain special to her, reflecting on the fond memories they shared. “He is an amazing co-star and an amazing human being. He loves and cares for his family a lot, and it’s very endearing to see that,” she added.
Krystle further explained that relationships are personal, and when two individuals choose not to define theirs publicly, it’s not for others to label it. “A relationship is between two people, and if those two decide not to give it a name, what can you call it? I don’t believe in these labels. If we decided not to reveal what was happening between us, how can we label it?” she explained. She emphasised that neither she nor Karan was at fault for how things unfolded, stating that their decision was mutual.
When asked if they remain in touch, Krystle revealed that they are no longer friends. “Unfortunately, life moves on and people go their separate ways. I don’t miss anything because that void gets filled somehow. But yes, I cherish the moments we shared,” she reflected.
Besides Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, the two also appeared together in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 7 and The Voice.
