Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming masterpiece, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, has left fans excited for its release on Netflix on May 1. Recently, the filmmaker hosted a glamorous premiere in Mumbai, which was a star-studded affair. The event saw the presence of numerous Bollywood and TV luminaries, including Rekha, Alia Bhatt, Neetu Kapoor, Ananya Panday, Aditya Roy Kapur, Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Salman Khan. However, amidst the glitz and glamour, all eyes were on the unexpected meeting between Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma.
As of now, the comedian is entertaining viewers with his comedy show, while the filmmaker is gearing up for the release of several thrilling projects. Although Kapil and Karan didn’t pose together during the red carpet, their warm hug and candid conversation sparked excitement among fans.
The video captured by a paparazzi page, features the reunion between Karan and Kapil, who delighted fans as they greeted each other with a warm hug. Both looked stylish and sophisticated at the event. The filmmaker opted for a classic attire, as he wore a white shirt, which he paired with a black blazer and matching trousers. On the other hand, Kapil looked elegant in a black half sleeve shirt paired with white trousers. The Zwigato actor further elevated his look with trendy glasses.

Meanwhile, the red carpet event for the Heeramandi screening was full of surprises. Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth caught everyone’s attention as they walked hand in hand, weeks after confirming their engagement. Adding to the buzz, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Ananya Panday, who are rumoured to be dating, attended the event in matching blue outfits, which fuelled further speculation about their relationship. However, it was Salman Khan who stole the show and left anime fans thrilled with his attire choice. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan star was spotted wearing funky pants inspired by Dragon Ball Z.
Heeramandi, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Mitakshara Kumar, explores the intriguing world of courtesans in the red light district of Heera Mandi, located in Lahore, during the pre-independence period. The series will provide a glimpse into the lives, struggles and desires of these courtesans.
The eight episodes of the most awaited Netflix series stars Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, Fardeen Khan, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman in key roles.
