Emma Watson's Manager Clarifies Actress has Not Quit Acting After Reports Claim She has Gone 'Dormant'
Emma Watson's manager has denied reports that the actress has gone 'dormant' in her acting career.

Emma Watson started trending on Thursday because of an article in The Daily Mail that suggested she would be retiring from acting in order to focus on settling down with her partner, Leo Robinton. “Emma Watson has gone ‘dormant’ according to her agent. That appears to be movie-speak for she’s ‘given up acting’,” the article said.

But her manager Jason Weinberg has said that the 30-year-old Harry Potter star is not retiring from the acting world. “Emma’s social media accounts are dormant but her career isn’t,” clarified Weinberg of Untitled Entertainment in a statement to Entertainment Weekly.

Watson was last seen on screen in 2019 as Meg March in Little Women, directed by Greta Gerwig. This had followed her performances in The Circle and the live-action Beauty and the Beast.

A source had earlier claimed that “Emma has gone underground, she is settling down with Leo. They’re laying low. Maybe she wants a family.” The couple, who have been dating for 18 months, have been spending plenty of time together at the entrepreneurs Los Angeles abode amid COVID-19 quarantine.

They have also been spotted together in Britain, pictured several times near Emma’s London home, getting coffee and visiting a bakery. It has even been reported that Emma has introduced Leo to her lawyer parents, adding another level of seriousness to their relationship status.
