Akhil Akkineni showed his support to his mother Amala Akkineni issued a statement regarding Konda Surekha’s claims about KTR, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya. On Wednesday, the Telugu film industry was left in shock after the political leader claimed that KTR was the reason behind Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s split. Surekha claimed that KTR allegedly interferred in the family which caused disturbances in the Akkineni family, resulting in the shocking divorce.
Amala took to X and slammed Surekha for her comments. “Shocked to hear a woman minister turn into a demon, conjuring evil fictions allegations, preying on decent citizens as fuel for a political war. Madam Minister, do you rely and believe people with no decency to feed you utterly scandalous stories about my husband without an iota of shame or truth? This is really shameful. If leaders lower themselves into the gutter and behave like criminals, what will happen to our country?” she wrote on X.
Her son, Telugu actor Akhil shared her post and called Konda Surekha a ‘sociopath’ in his statement. “My dear mother I support every word you have said and I am With you and the family..I’m sorry that you have to address this demonic nonsense but we have no choice sometimes but to deal with such sociopaths,” he wrote.

What Did Konda Surekha Claim?
Surekha claimed that KT Rama Rao demanded that Samantha be sent to him in exchange for sparing Nagarjuna Akkineni’s N-Convention Centre from demolition. Surekha claimed that Samantha refused and it led to her separation from Naga Chaitanya. “KTR asked to send Samantha in return for not demolishing the N-convention centre. Nagarjuna forced Samantha to go to KTR, but she said no. That led to divorce,” Surekha was quoted as saying by Deccan Herald.

Samantha addressed the political leader in a statement on Instagram and said, “Konda Surekha Garu, I am proud of what this journey turned me into—please don’t trivialise it. I hope you realise that your words carry significant weight as a minister. I implore you to be responsible and respectful of individuals’ privacy.”

Naga Chaitanya also reacted to the claims. Chaitanya called the claims “ridiculous” and clarified the situation.
KTR Reacts To Konda Surekha’s Claims
KTR issued a legal notice against Konda Surekha, demanding that she retracts her statement within the next 24 hours. If she failed to do so, he will file a defamation case against him.
As per the latest development, she has decided to retract the statement.
