FIFTY FIFTY, the South Korean girl group, has announced its plans for a comeback scheduled for June, following a reorganisation of its members. On February 8, ATTRAKT, their label, disclosed the introduction of a fresh member lineup and confirmed a summer comeback for the group. The label conveyed, “We recently initiated the process of reorganising the group members, with a focus on Keena. Our aim is to finalise the group lineup by April and release new music in June.” Legal conflicts emerged between FIFTY FIFTY and ATTRAKT over their exclusive contracts after the global viral success of one of the group’s popular tracks.
Last year, Fifty Fifty shifted to a one-member system with Keena, amid the ongoing contractual disputes with ATTRAKT, leading to the departure of three other members, namely, Saena, Sio, and Aran.

An audition to select new members for a K-pop girl group was held in Kallang Place, Singapore, on February 3, drawing over 120 applicants. According to local Korean media outlet Dispatch, “The applicants showcased their singing, rapping, and dancing skills for one minute.” The candidates who progress to the next round will be released on February 9.
Simultaneously, auditions are underway in South Korea and Japan. After this phase, chosen candidates will advance to a final audition in Thailand, slated for March, where they will compete with other aspirants from Southeast Asia.
The girl group FIFTY FIFTY made their official debut under the management of ATTRAKT, an independent record label founded in 2022. They debuted on November 18, 2022, with their EP The Fifty, earning significant acclaim both domestically and internationally with their viral hit single, Cupid. Released in February 2023, this single took FIFTY FIFTY to the distinction of becoming the fastest K-pop group to enter both the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart within just four months of their debut.
Additionally, they became the first K-pop girl group to reach the top ten of the UK charts.
However, less than a year after their debut, in June 2023, members of FIFTY FIFTY filed a provisional application to suspend the validity of their exclusive contracts with ATTRAKT, citing accounting issues and alleged neglect of the group’s overall health and well-being.
Amidst legal disputes, member Keena returned to the group, while the remaining members – Saena, Sio, and Aran – were sued for wrongful contract termination, with the company seeking damages totalling ₩13 billion (approximately Rs 81.1 lakh).
