Bollywood is bringing 'stadium style yoga' to Australia as part of the 15-minute Indian Cultural Segment of the Closing Ceremony.

Melbourne: Practiced for more than 5,000 years yoga is set to strike a pose at the XVIII Commonwealth Games Closing Ceremony in Melbourne at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on March 26.

Hailing from Hinduism, Yoga has been reinvented as the exercise form of the 21st Century.

Celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna and Jennifer Aniston are renowned for and profess their strict yoga practices.

The best of Bollywood are now bringing 'stadium style yoga' to Australia as part of the 15-minute Indian Cultural Segment of the Closing Ceremony.

"We will give a glimpse of India's rich culture and heritage in the 15 minutes allotted to us and invite the athletes of the Commonwealth to attend the best ever Games in 2010" said Suresh Kalmadi, the Chairman of the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee.

Borrowed from the ancient Hindu faith, Yoga is recognized around the globe for its deep links to Indian culture, specifically through the practice of Hinduism, the predominant religion in India.

However, with a heritage deeply rooted in Indian culture, the Bollywood stars of Indian stage and screen are set to steal the yoga spot light from Hollywood's royalty.

As the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games comes to a close, spectators can expect a zen element before the ultimate performance climax with the largest group of Bollywood beauties ever assembled for one performance.
