'India's Biggest Shopping Festival' is Here. For Delhi, CM Kejriwal's Mega 30-day Plan to Kick Off in 2023

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday announced that a 30-day Delhi Shopping Festival will be organised from January 28 to February 26 next year.

Kejriwal claimed that this will be the biggest shopping festival in the country. He further said that in the coming years, the government will make it the biggest shopping festival in the world.

“People will be invited from across the country as well as the world to experience Delhi and its culture. This will be an unparalleled shopping experience. Heavy discounts will be offered. Entire Delhi will be decorated and exhibitions will also be organised,” the Delhi chief minister announced.

He also claimed that through this festival, the capital’s economy will receive a major boost.

“It’ll be a huge opportunity for Delhi’s businessmen, an opportunity for them to increase their business. It’ll be a huge opportunity to present Delhi on an international level. It’ll generate thousands of jobs,” he said.

Kejriwal added that he is also in talks with airline companies for special packages for passengers visiting the Delhi Shopping Festival.

The festival will feature special food walks, opening and closing ceremony and exhibitions of games and

technology.

“There will be a special opening and closing ceremony and 200 concerts will be organised to entertain the visitors. Special food walks will be held that will see the participation of international restaurants and national restaurants since Delhi is known for its food,” he stressed.

Earlier on Wednesday, he said that he will make a “big announcement” for the people of Delhi at 12 pm.
