New Delhi: Former model Viveka Babaji's post-mortem report which came out late Monday evening confirms that the model's death was due to hanging. Viveka died between 3 am and 5 am on Friday. The post-mortem has found traces of alcohol, anti-depressent tablets and sleeping pills. However, the injury marks found on Viveka's body, the post mortem report says, are not fresh wounds.

The report also mentions 'smoke-filled lungs', which confirms smoking by Viveka before her death.

Earlier, a Mumbai court on Monday directed Viveka’s stock broker boyfriend Gautam Vora to give his statement to police in connection with her suicide.

Principal Judge of Mumbai City Civil and Sessions Court M.L. Tahaliyani, while putting up Vora's anticipatory bail application for hearing Tuesday, also said that he would not be arrested till then.

Vora has been under a cloud since Viveka's suicide June 25.

According to police, Vora had met her June 24 night and there are unconfirmed reports that the duo had a spat before splitting.

Vora's lawyer, while moving the court Monday evening, contended that his client apprehended arrest on charges of abetment to the former supermodel's suicide and hence was seeking anticipatory bail.

Vora had also gone underground and avoided all contact with the media in the past three days, further fuelling speculation.

Viveka committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling fan of her living room in a Bandra apartment, sending shockwaves in the glamour world.

Police were seeking to interrogate all her friends and acquaintances, including Vora, to ascertain the motives behind Viveka's suicide.

Meanwhile, Viveka's family members, including her mother and three sisters, reached here from Mauritius on Sunday night and took charge of her body here this afternoon.

Shortly thereafter, they took the body from R.N. Cooper Hospital to the Juhu crematorium and performed the last rites as per Hindu traditions.

Besides the family members, several of Viveka's friends and well-wishers from the entertainment industry were present at the cremation.
