New Delhi: There have been more startling revelations in the Gujarat fake encounter case with other encounter victims speaking up and demanding justice.
One such “victim” was Isharat Jahan of Mumbai who was gunned down by Vanzara’s gang in 2004.
Isharat was suspected to be an operative of Lashkar-e-Toiba and allegedly came to Gujarat with an intention to assassinate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
However, Isharat’s family insists it was a fake encounter.
Now sources tell CNN-IBN that Isharat was also kept in the same bungalow as Sohrabuddin’s wife Kauser Bi. Sources say Isharat along with three other suspected LeT men were kept in Holiday Home bungalow before their encounter in 2004.
The owner of Holiday Home, Raju Jeerawala, confirmed this with CID Crime and said Vanzara was the Additional Commissioner Crime in Ahmedabad at the time.
