It has been over a year since he has left for heavenly abode. Talking about none other than the king of ghazals, Jagjit Singh who cast a spell on the listeners with his charismatic voice. And remembering on his first death anniversary, the ghazal aficionados of the city are conducting a mehfil at Hotel Abad- Chullickal on October 10.
The mehfil will start with the remembrance speech by M P Abdussamad Samadani and later Kerala’s own ghazal singer Umbayi will recite the famous pieces of Jagjit Singh. Playback singer Sithara Sandeep will also be singing for the programme.
