Anand Krishnamurthy, 25, of Muppathadam, and two others were arrested for stealing 1.75 kg of gold from City Fashion Jewellery on the Broadway here by the Central Police. Joseph Varappan, 45, and Raveendra Shankar were the other two arrested.
According to the police, Anand stole `49.65 lakh worth gold from the store. The police have recovered 375 grams of gold in connection with the case from various places.
