TDP to launch yatra to expose Congress: Chandrababu Naidu
Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday  said he would embark on "Atmagourava Yatra" to safeguard the self-respect of Telugu people and also expose the ruling Congress' conspiracy in the whole episode related to the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

Addressing a press conference on the eve of the yatra, Chandrababu said he would resolve the current crisis within six months if he was given power. "This is a man-created problem.

The Congress has created hatred among Telugu people. The Congress party is only interested in its political gains. I will explain its conspiracy to the people," the TDP chief said.

"Congress, TRS and YSR Congress wanted to derive political gain out of the state division issue by blaming the TDP. We will teach them a lesson," he added. "People in Andhra-Rayalaseema regions are on streets for the past 32 days. Their genuine problems have to be addressed immediately," he demanded.

Chandrababu said he would show solidarity with the agitating people. The TDP supremo said he would launch his yatra from Gurazala in Guntur district and continue it for 10-15 days.

"After the yatra, I want to initiate a national debate on how to save the country from the current economic crisis and the Congress' misrule. The country is in doldrums because of the greed of one party, the Congress. The country is suffering from lack of correct leadership," the former Chief Minister lamented.

"As one of the architects of economic reforms in the country, I am deeply anguished and ashamed over the current state of affairs," he said, referring to the depreciation of value of rupee against foreign currencies.

The Prime Minister is solely responsible for the current crisis. He left 125 crore people of India suffering. He expressed helplessness in pulling the country out of the crisis. What he is talking does not make any sense," the TDP chief noted.

He found fault with the UPA government for bringing in the Food Security Bill "at the fag end" of its tenure. "Where from the government get Rs 1.30 lakh crore", Chandrababu wondered.

The UPA-1 government enjoyed fruits of the initiatives launched by the erstwhile NDA regime. "The UPA-2 is stuck in scandals. They can't blame anyone else for the current situation," he said.

Asked about the possibility of a Third Front emerging and he becoming the Prime Minister, Chandrababu said,"I am not interested in becoming the Prime Minister." "We will talk about alliances later," he added.

He said Congress has lost the right to remain in power even for a minute.
