Squash: Joshana Chinappa bags WSA title in Canada
The Indian saved three match-balls in the fifth game to win the decider 12-10 against Heba El Torky of Egypt.

Winnipeg: India's Joshana Chinappa won her eighth WSA tour event defeating Heba El Torky from Egypt 11-13, 11-8, 11-5, 3-11, 12-10 in the final of the $15,000 Winter Club Open squash tournament here on Sunday.

Leading 2-1, the fourth seeded Joshana lost the fourth game and had to save three match-balls in the fifth as she clawed her way from 7-10 to win the decider and title 12-10.

En route to the final, World No. 20 Joshana defeated Misaki Kobayashi (Japan) 3-1 in the semi-finals, Siyoli Waters (South Africa) 3-0 in the quarter-finals and Jaycee Seagrud (Canada) 3-0 in her first-round match.

India's top ranked player, Dipika Pallikal, had won the tournament here last year. The World No. 12 this time chose to play at the $50,000 WSA Cleveland Classic in Cleveland, US, where she lost to World No. 4 Alison Waters of England in the opening round held on Saturday.
