New Delhi: Kerala Police claim to be on the trail of a major terror network following the arrest of Hizbul Mujahideen member Muhammad Ashraf.

Police sources claim that many South Indian boys between the ages of 16 and 25 are being trained in Pakistan occupied Kashmir under the supervision of Lashkar-e-Toiba commanders. Ashraf, who was arrested in Jammu and Kashmir in May, reportedly made the revelations.

The boys reportedly reached PoK via Nepal and Bangladesh. The young men being trained in terror activities reportedly belong to Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.

Police forces of the three states are now sifting through records of missing youth to see if they have landed in the terror camps.

The Central Government has taken Ashraf's claims seriously.

"If you ask me, is there an ISI activity in Kerala, then I can't say no. ISI activities have been reported in some parts of Kerala. I can't tell you the details as of now," said Union Minister of State for Home Mullapally Ramachandran.
