Siddhivinayak Temple Trust Launches Probe After Viral Video Shows Mice on Prasad Packets
A viral video showing mice crawling over prasad packets at Mumbai's Siddhivinayak Temple has prompted the temple Trust to launch an investigation.

The Siddhivinayak Temple Trust is looking into allegations of mice crawling over the temple prasad, as shown in some viral videos on social media. The Trust is also expected to address a press conference over the matter on Tuesday.

Some pictures also showed torn packets of the prasad after mice were seen over those.

According to the details, the temple Trust has also sought an investigation into the matter.

This comes days after the prasad laddoo at the famous Tirupati Temple in Andhra Pradesh.

On September 18, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu claimed that animal fat was used in Tirupati laddoos during the previous government when YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was the Chief Minister of the state.

In return, Reddy’s party, YSRCP, accused Naidu of indulging in “heinous allegations” for political gains.

The Tirupati Laddoo, also called the ‘Srivari Laddoo’, has been the main offering at the temple for more than 300 years. It is believed that the laddoo is the favourite naivedyam (an offering to God) of Lord Venkateswara himself.
