The raising of Pakistani flags has become a routine affair in the valley and has left the PDP-BJP government in the state red-faced.
Srinagar: Pakistan flags were once again seen in Srinagar on Friday. Separatist leader Asiya Andrabi hoisted the Pakistani flag while her separatist group - Dukhteran-e-Millat - released a video celebrating Pakistan's Independence Day.
Pakistani flags were raised in Anantnag as well. The raising of Pakistani flags has become a routine affair in the valley and has left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state red-faced.
However, separatist activists have been hoisting Pakistani flags on August 14 for more than two decades. In the early days of terrorism in Kashmir during 1990s, terror groups like Hizbul Mujahideen would hold full-fledged parades to mark this day.
