The Malayalam film Porattu Nadakam has received a warm reception in theatres, with audiences enjoying its humorous and satirical format. The film, presented by the late Siddique, was celebrated with a special celebrity show at the Edappally Vanitha Theater, followed by a success celebration where the crew cut a cake.

The event was attended by director Naushad Saffron, Saiju Kurup, scriptwriter Suneesh Varanad, Dharmajan Bolgatty, actress Aishwarya Mithun, Rahul Madhav and Geethi Sangeetha.

The movie, filled with entertaining and engaging moments, has been described by both audiences and critics as a delightful family film suitable for all age groups. A notable feature of the film is the role of a cow named Manikkutti, which plays a pivotal character.

Porattu Nadakam is directed by Naushad Saffron, a former assistant to Siddique, with Saiju Kurup in the lead role. The film was developed under the guidance of Siddique. Saiju Kurup plays Abu, a light and sound operator. The songs from the movie have already gained popularity on YouTube.

Porattu Nadakam refers to a play that is enacted by oppressed caste people and is presented with songs and interactions. Interestingly the movie starts with this play and introduces Gopalapura, a village on the border of Kerala and Karnataka in Kasaragod district.

All the political parties have their base in Gopalapura. The right-wing party called Sena is against the slaughter of cows as they worship cows. Then we are introduced to the left party which gets a cliched pattern of leaders who talk about communism but are afraid of God. The Congress party is again shown as those leaders who don’t have a connection with the common people.

Produced by Vijayan Pallikkara under the banner of Emirates Productions, the film’s script is written by Suneesh Varanad, who has written films like Mohanlal and Eesho and was a recent winner of the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Best Humorous Work. The music for the film is composed by Rahul Raj.

In addition to Saiju Kurup, the film features a large ensemble cast, including Rahul Madhav, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Ramesh Pisharody, Sunil Sugatha, Nirmal Palazhi, Rajesh Azhikode, Arjun Vijayan, Arya Vijayan, Sumaya, Babu Annur, Suraj Thelakkad, Anil Baby, Shukkoor Vakkeel, Shivadas Mattannur, Sibi Thomas, Faisal, Chitra Shenoy, Chitra Nair, Aishwarya Mithun, Jiji N and Geethi Sangeetha.
