HYDERABAD: The prospect of an early end to the strike by the APSRTC employees evaporated as the talks between the management and the staff union failed on Sunday.
Leaders of the RTC Employees Union came out of the Bus Bhavan this afternoon after talks and declared that their strike would continue till Centre gave a commitment to creation of separate Telangana.The bus transport has been paralysed in the entire Telangana region with the employees of the state-run corporation being on strike since September 19 as part of Sakalajanula Samme called by the Telangana Joint Action Committee.

As the strike is prolonging without any signs of an early end, the RTC management invited the Joint Action Committee of Employees for talks and made a fervent appeal to the JAC leaders to call off their strike, keeping in view the loss of revenue to the corporation and the hardships of passengers due to lack of bus services.

"We will continue our strike till the Centre makes an announcement in favour of creation of Telangana state," the JAC leaders declared.
