Vettaiyan, starring Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Fahadh Faasil and others, will be released in the theatres on October 10. The action drama movie directed by Jai Bhim fame TJ Gnanavel has already created a lot of excitement amongst the fans. The film’s first single, Manasilayo, is already a blockbuster hit, and Manju Warrier’s stellar hook steps have been creating a storm on social media.
The actress recently sat for a candid chat with the Tamil channel Sun Music and revealed common traits she spotted between iconic actors, including Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan. She also spilt beans on her experience working with the two legendary co-stars. She compared the stars with iconic actors like Ajith, Mohanlal and Mammootty and mentioned that the common trait between them is humility. She further added, “They all compete with each other when it comes to being down to earth.”
“It’s something we should all learn from them. You might think you’re humble, but meeting them makes you realise you have a long way to go,” she added. Manju Warrier went on to share that earlier, she wasn’t aware that the film would feature Rajinikanth in the lead role. She met the actor for the first time on Vettaiyan’s sets for the film’s look test and was left speechless upon learning the fact.
Manju Warrier’s admiration for Rajinikanth is no longer a secret. A few days back, she shared a couple of photos on Instagram. In the first frame, she was seen shaking hands with the iconic actor Rajinikanth before climbing up to the stage for a small speech. Sharing

At the film’s audio launch event at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, the actress took to the stage and revealed her gratitude to work with the superstar Rajinikanth. She reportedly said, “The reason I am standing on this stage is because of two films I have acted in Tamil before. One is Asuran, and the other is Thunivu, and now it is Vettaiyan. Whatever you think and plan in life, whatever is meant to happen will happen. It was my privilege to act with such a stellar cast. My desire is to act in films that people like.”
Rajinikanth will be seen in the role of a cop, while Big B will play the character of Sathyadev. The two stars will be reuniting again years after their first film together, Hum, in 1991.
