Santiago: Bone remains of Chilean Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda will be analyzed in the United States as investigators seek to resolve a four-decade mystery about his death.

Neruda's body was exhumed this week in an effort to discover if he died from prostate cancer or if he was poisoned by agents of Gen. Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship.

The judge in charge of the case is Mario Carroza and he says that some skeletal remains will be sent to a laboratory at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine.

Carroza said today he will receive a preliminary report about tests in Chile on April 22.
