Manisha Mahaldar Shahrukh, you have been associated with Tag Heuer for 9 years now, at a time when fame and brand association are so fickle, so how does one sustain a successful brand association?
Shah Rukh Khan I think its just the respect that you have for each other and besides the respect, the fun that you have with each other while working for each other. Third and the most important thing is how you present yourself, you know, when you are out in the market with the viewers or with the buyers or with the consumers - that you kind of believe that, you know, if Tag has given me the opportunity to work for them for so many years, its also my responsibility to make sure that in no which way do I belittle the name of this wonderful, more than a 100 year old company.
Manisha Mahaldar Leonardo Di Caprio and Maria Sharapova are simultaneously shooting for their TAG print ads, are you a fan of either of them?
Shah Rukh Khan Oh yeah….I think I have a poster signed by Maria Sharapova when she was in Dubai and I think she is an extremely talented tennis player and I like her for her beauty beyond the talent of tennis also…I think she is an extremely attractive lady .
Caprio is you know .from the days of ‘Titanic’…you know one has always liked his work, specially the ones he does with Martin Scorsese, I think they are fantastic films, they are all different. Like ‘Blood Diamond’ was fantastic I thought…I am extremely honoured that I am spoken of in the same breath. I met Caprio once had a great chat with him he is a wonderful actor and I am very happy that they are a part of TAG team.
Manisha Mahaldar Moving on to films, Shah Rukh, you will be starting on with your next film with Yash Chopra right away, reports suggest that its remake of ‘Daag’, so is it a modern day ‘Daag’?
Shah Rukh Khan I think it’s a beautiful love story, like Mr Yash Chopra always makes. I think it will be really nice working with Katrina and Anushka, I have already started shooting for the film so it’s not that I am starting it now. I start again day after tomorrow.
Manisha Mahaldar Another film in the pipeline which is being much talked about is Rohit Shetty’s ‘Chennai Express’. The way the title is, so will you be playing a south Indian Character like the one you played in ‘RA.One’?
Shah Rukh Khan ‘Chennai Express’- It’s a working title at this point of time so if he decides to go to Bengal, because I am a brand ambassador it will become ‘Kolkata Express’, if he decides to go to Delhi….no it’s a working title and no I am not playing a south Indian in it.
Manisha Mahaldar Shah Rukh now that all is well between you and Farah, is there a possibility that we might get a chance to see her directing you in a film?
Shah Rukh Khan You know when films are offered to me, I look at them and if they fit into my scheme of things I go ahead. You know Farah is a fantastic director and if she has a film for me, and at this point of time there is no discussion of this sort and just to let you know, there has never been anything unwell between us.
