Modi salutes martyrs on 13th anniversary of Parliament terror attack
Modi along with other Union Ministers is expected to pay homage to the soldiers who died during the 2001 Parliament terror attack.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday remembered the martyrs of the deadly terror attack on Parliament that took place on December 13, 2001.

"We salute martyrs who lost their lives protecting the Temple of our Democracy on this day in 2001. Their sacrifices are etched in our memory," he tweeted early on Saturday morning.

Modi along with other Union Ministers is expected to pay homage to the soldiers who died during the 2001 Parliament terror attack. The attack had killed 14 people including five terrorists and six Delhi Police personnel.

The terror strike had also resulted in increased tension between India and Pakistan.
