M C Jacob laid to rest

KOCHI: The body of industrialist M C Jacob who died here on Sunday was laid to rest with state honours on Monday. Thousands from all walks of life paid their last respects to Jacob.
The body was taken to St Paul's Church at Kizhakkambalam from Jacob's house at noon in a procession. CPM state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan, KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala, ministers T M Jacob, V K Ebrahimkujnu, P J Joseph and K Babu, Union Minister of State for Energy K C Venugopal, MPs P C Chacko, Jose K Mani, Anto Antony, P Rajeev and K P Dhanapalan, Jose Thettayil MLA, Saju Paul MLA, CPM district secretary Gopi Kottamurickal, DCC president V J Paulose, actors Mammootty, Dileep and Mukesh and Bishop Mar Thomas Chakiath were among those who paid their last respects to Jacob.
