Srinagar: There has been heavy snowfall in Srinagar overnight on Tuesday. The city is virtually shut down after receiving more than one feet of snow.
One woman has died as the roof of her house collapsed. Traffic has been hit as well as the Jammu-Srinagar highway has been closed.
Schools and colleges will remain shut for two days. The city administration is working to clear the snow from the roads even as water logging has also been reported in some low-lying areas.
