Janaseva Sisubhavan chairman bags award

ALUVA: Kerala State Human Rights Commission Chairman Justice Benjamin Koshy presented the Best Social Worker Award to Janaseva Sisubhavan chairman Jose Mavely in a function held at Priyadarsini Hall here.The award was instituted by the Human Rights Foundation. Mavely was chosen for the award for his selfless service towards protecting street children from the exploitation by the hands of anti-social elements and various mafia groups. Mavely was instrumental to bring thousands of street children in to the mainstream society.A committee consisting of the foundation president K H Ibrahim, district president T K Abdul Azis, secretary George Mons, vice-president T C Rafeeq, treasurer Stanley Poulose and legal advisor K V Sabu has selected Mavely for the award. District Collector Sheik Pareeth, Corporation councillor V K Minimol and Nethaji Residents’ Association president K G Gopi spoke on the occasion.
